Gah! I fucking hate mods!

That really sucks. It's always disappointing when mods end up being chumps that only got their position because they're friends with whoever runs the forum as opposed to the calm unbiased people that they're supposed to at least attempt to act like. Hell, I've been on a few forums where certain members filled the role the mods are supposed to while the mods were complete jerks.
Also, it's kinda hard to imagine how someone wouldn't understand why companies (big or small) wouldn't translate loli stuff. I mean, have they ever heard of lawyers?

In this world there are people who are pretty naive and never really bothered to search for the reason and blab in the forums, those kind of people will get abandon in this and our kind of community which revolves around hentai/anime pretty soon, if you have been through that stage as a anime loyal supporter you will surely know what i mean.

I wanna be a Mod, oh yes the power oh the POWER!!, I can crush your puny threads. I will be OVER 9000!, I will own you all, please please make me a forumn mod, I would make ever such a good one, posters will flee in terror at my approach MWAHAHAHAHAH!!

Hmmm I'd be against it, given what you said except that your evil laugh was just perfect. Starts with M not some other weird letter, long but not too long, at the end of short-but-entirely villainous rant that includes non-sensible threats....I could go on all day about the glories of a well executed evil laugh but, I should probably stop lest I divulge (one of) my plan(s) to conquer the earth. Suffice it to say, you have my vote (assuming that somehow matters).

I would be a great Mod, well for about a day, then I'd be removed from my "indomitable" seat of power. In my very short reign as M(G)od, I would be known as the destroyer of egos, dreams, threads, and anything that I was within my grasp. I would level the field between the proud and the weak. All those swept up in my wake would be left broken, empty shells of their former selves and I, would sit upon my cyber-throne reveling in their anguish. Even after being stripped of my title and, most likely, banned from whatever forum it was, all those who felt my power would remember the fear just as well they did my name.

Its fun to dream...

Yeah. Most mods aren't all that bad. It all depends on how much they like the site and how much they would like to see it prosper. Most mods aren't that bad. Some people are only mods because its their friend that owns the site so they are like "we'll my friend owns the site so I can do whatever the fuck I want" and then they are total assholes about it. They don't help people and just try to put you down. Don't let these punks get to you. Keep your chin up and your head clear.

I've only really started hanging out on forums in the last year or so. I got started with a fanfiction page called Fukufics, and for a long time I thought all moderators were like Larry (lwf56); calm, reserved, unopinionated, and willing to drop the hammer and smite anyone who violated the rules no matter who they were, though he did give out warnings when you were starting to cross the line.

Then I met LaC on danbooru, who single-handedly ruined my day and my mental image of moderators in general by all but telling me to leave and not come back after we got into a disagreement over whether an image of what I thought was a Rukia Kuchiki cosplayer actually was a cosplayer. He also has this completely uncalled-for tendency to mercilessly bash any series he personally doesn't like, and of course his mod status makes it so you can't cuss him out for it without getting banned.

Really, it's like someone fished him out of the depths of /b/ or something. People like LaC have absolutely no business being moderators, and I intend to tell him that if we ever get into an argument again.

I never like it when people offer me to become a mod just because I'm their friend, it feels like they're too lazy to do the work themselves so they shove the job on another they know while they wait for the forum to become popular.

but in my opinion each forum has their own kind of people, so usually before I register on a forum I check out to see if I can fit in or not, cuz it's boring to post on a forum where you don't have fun. it also sometimes happens a forum changes and that you don't like it anymore, then I just stop posting and move to another forum.

I've a forum aswell (free one xD ) and I'm the only Admin on there, well, there is another one, but I temporarily assigned him as Admin since my internet was screwing up. anyway, I don't really act as an admin, I let everyone do what they want, but do have some limits, for the rest just post whatever you want and have fun.
ofcourse the downside of this is that the forum gets really confusing with stuff all over the place, but it's a free forum anyway so, it's all good as long as we've fun xD

anyway, if a mod acts like that I'd contact an admin and report the mod to him/her. if the admin reacts the same way then just leave that sh!tty place, no use to fight back if the idiots have the power...
