Hibia thy challenge thee to a duel.Isn't he actually saying (With a lot of engrish.) that you're challenging yourself? So you're declining your own challenge because you don't duel commoners?

That's true, since 'thy' means 'you', and not 'I'. It's just a different level of politeness or a different tense, I don't know which. Basically Angelus is saying "Hibia, you're challenging yourself to a duel, do you accept?"

a little odd...I'm pretty sure English is Angelus' first language.
But not Ye Olde English, I guess.

Aye, but thou must not forget that ye good Olde English hast changed drastically. Grammar, spelling, everything's different than it was sevearl hundred years ago. Even you can speak modern English, that says nothing about old English.

Sortof my point. Although people get the jist of Old English most of the time, if they try reading something in true Old English, they end up all lolwut?
