well i'm gonna try to make simple explanation since i'm on mobile.. d:
Emotion can affect our brain release a certain neurotransmitter and hormones.. Sad or grieve state will affect the release of hormones called ACTH which leading our part of body to produce steroid called cortisol (stress hormon)..
This stress hormon will surpress your immune system, therefore your allergy happens

Well back when I had just started running I could not break eight minutes for the mile. i just couldn't make myself run any faster. But then one time at school while running the mile, I decided to stay behind this kid they entire time. He was an average runner but faster than I was. I just told myself that I could keep up with him. And I did. I finished a few seconds behind him and got a 6:47 for that miles.
I then learned ways to push myself and one of those way is still to force myself to keep up with others. Saying to myself if they can, then I can too. I now run around in between a 4:30 and 5:30, depending on whether or not it's been a while since I have ran.

Because emotions effect the type of neurotransmitters that you are releasing at a given time and how they are released and how reuptake is done and so on and so on.
And magic.
And magic.
