Kinda Sad to Hear

The creator of RWBY Monty Oum has been hospitalized in critical condition http://roosterteeth.com/members/journal/entry.php?id=3301055 they haven't released any information onto what exactly has happened, I mean you guys probably don't care I know PumpJack might because he is the Waifu Game Master and his first pick has been Yang Xiao Long.

I mean since they aren't saying it was an accident or illness, I am assuming it was a suicide attempt.

Yeah, it's rather worrying to think that yet another great talent may succumb to the stresses and pressures that comes with fame. I know he already kinda shut himself off when people wouldn't quit nagging him about Dead Fantasy.


Whether you're a fan of his work or not, it's a terrible thing to see such a light extinguished.

I'm hoping it was merely overwork and lack of sleep. Regardless of the mixed reactions RWBY has garnered, the man's a great talent and seems like a really fun guy. Here's hoping he recovers, since the GoFundMe capign for him regarding all this has covered way more than 100% of its intended goal.

I really hope he recovers, it'll change Rooster Teeth if he happens to not make it. I've admired his work as well in rwby, it would be tragic. Btw if you look at some of his pictures from the rwby marathon at the Alamo, he looks kind of depressed and really sleep deprived.

The problem is that he always kinda looks like that, though. Ozpin and Oobleck always having coffee- as well as team CFVY themselves- are references to that. Wouldn't be surprised if nobody saw the signs coming, when sleep deprivation is kinda like his trademark.
