I have to say this doujninshi/manga is a serious head f***. Shinji's stuck in a groundhog day - like event. But, still a great read, but it seems. Shinji can't save them both - at first. Has a good ending too.

Yeah I loved that series, keep re-reading it whenever I get the chance... rather fun seeing stuff happening in a different way and still have a reason behind happening 'that' way.
It is a must read for Evangelion fans, it's sorta lacking in the sex n' nudity department, but has an great storyline, which I applaud.

The RE-Take series is one of the finest doujins I've read. Not much because of the art (which rocks), but mainly because of the story and the dialogue.

I just loved the way RE-TAKE ended and I keep it in mind as the final pages in the evangelion story. Mostly because I wanted Asuka and Shinji to get together while I was watching the TV series but also because there were no abstract or confusing closing scenes. I admit that tragic or bitter-sweet endings have their certain appeal now and then but you have to appreciate the other side of the spectrum and it's cheerful conclusions.

It's been a long time since I've read it, but it's definitely a great doujinshi. The thought and planning must have been long coming to release something of such a high quality.
