Gonna have a new job training, I'm beyond nervous right now.
Hopefully I can pass and become a coffee maker. Any tips so I can impress them during training?

Listen to requests carefully. Ask them if they want milk and sugar. Let the bag infuse for at least a minute. I usually squeeze the bag against the mug to make it infuse a bit faster.

Listen to your training supervisor as much as possible and ask questions if you are not sure about something so you can avoid making mistakes, they are there to train you so don't hesitate to ask.

Also, pay attention to your surroundings so you can remember where things are and make sure to concentrate on what you are doing so you can easily repeat actions specific to your job without hesitation.

1. Don't put too much thought into it, it's not rocket science. Over analyzing leads to just as many mistakes as under analyzing, there is such a thing as being too careful.

2. Superiors come before everyone else.

3. Never trust anyone but yourself to back you up if you bring an issue to management. Even if someone tells you they'll give you their support they won't.

4. Make a good impression on your first few days, but only put in as much effort as you're willing to put in every other day of the year.

Advice?
Don't press random buttons, even if the temptation is killing you.
Keep a gun that won't jam on you the whole time. If anyone notices it, just tell them you're really happy to see them.
Remember to take an alcohol break every once in a while.
Show initiative. Sabotage competing coffee places around town.
Don't spit in people's coffee, even if they deserve it.
Don't let hipsters in. If they have dreadlocks, look like they raided a Goodwill or ask for Chai/infused crap, give them the boot.
