but the headline is misleading, from reading it it just the pole dancing federation submitted an application for pole dancing to be considered as a sport/event for the olympics.

I'd totally watch that shit.

I'd watch it myself. I already watch a few events, but eh.
It is a pretty interesting thing to watch the guys and girls do. Takes a lot of muscle to have a good routine down.
Granted, it won't be anywhere near a stripper pole dance, it'd be either more cool shit or graceful stuff. It's pretty interesting though. Power moves are op though. Watching a dude do power moves is pretty wicked

couple of people i know go to a class that teaches pole dancing as an exercise, and it is hard and you need to have good upper body strength and muscle.

On what exactly. My disdain for NBC isn't anywhere as great as it is for the Olympics themselves. The actual reason I dislike both would be a giant wall of text that would be out of place in a thread like this.
