[Quick&Painless] Your View Toward Loli/Shouta Arts

Alright, let's not debate on the legality here, but rather your own personal feelings on this subject.

I'll be the first one to admit, I enjoy many Loli/Shouta themed works. However, I enjoy almost everything else as well (including BL, GL, some gore, Futanari, crossdressing, etc.). To me, I like the Loli/Shouta stuff not because the characters are purportedly drawn to be underage, but rather because I think the characters are "cute".

I see Loli/Shouta more of a style of drawing, the same way huge breasts some authors prefer. Above all, more and more authors/circles are covering this style as well, while others had been drawing both Loli/Shouta and non-Loli/Shouta to begin with. Thus, I find it almost impossible to be Loli-phobic and tries to avoid ANYTHING remotely loli-like.

Anyway, enough about me, what about you guys (and the few other gals that might be lurking :wink: ).

I love loli stuff in anime/manga, just for being insanely cute.

But when it comes to porn, the whole underage-thing is just not erotic in my opinion.

BL --> Boy's Love --> guy on guy
GL --> Girl's Love --> girl on girl

As for the part regarding underage porn, I'm pretty sure we don't have anyone here that's into that kind of stuff.

I prefer Both. I like cute girly Shoutas and cute aggressive Lolitas.


Look at japan they have this stuff and there sex crimes are extremely low coppered to the U.S.A. were priests molest there alter boys. old mormon men have 13 year old wives. I can go on and on.

Drawn well, I'm game.

Drawn badly, not matter what the topic is, it fails.

But there are some topics I find squicky though. Incest, pregnancy, guro, rape, bestiality, scat, yaoi -- I find these all of a turn-off. Loli, by default, doesn't turn me off (doesn't turn me on, either), but its usually coupled with incest and occasionally pregnancy and rape, so no thanks. Loli that isn't rape and incest also sometimes has a shota lead...

As for shota -- well, porn is fantasy, and my fantasy includes nubile girls with well-built males. Loli may feature young pretty girls, but boys, almost by definition, almost always have a small penis (exceptions include Secret Plot). Also, with lolicon, sometimes its just the art style -- a girl will be drawn young, but the story may not reflect her actual age. With shota, the plot point often revolves on how young the character is. There goes the fantasy -- I can't even forget he's not of age, not when the story keeps ramming the fact that he's 10 down my skull. Overall, no thanks.

Just a few comments:

1. I'm pretty sure most, if not all, western "straight" guys would find Shouta and Yaoi a bit of turn-off. As matter of fact, I have yet to meet someone that's even neutral toward BL stuff in general... :D :D

2. Just curious, what if it's a doujinshi on a character you're sure that's not underage by any mean, but simply drawn in Loli/Shouta fashion, would it feel any different for you? (For example, works by the circle "CHRONOLOG" in the Gintama section... the author draws everything in loli-style, even Tashigi of One Piece)

Of course it feels different, especially if it's not just from the loli style drawing, but also from their personality and speeches. It really feels different.
Comment to the subject : I liked loli-style doujin, depends on the story and the artwork. I don't like over-boarded storyline and crappy artworks. I'll just throw it off.

Even though I have Pedobear as my avatar, I consider myself to be neutral on the matter... at least to a certain extent. By neutral, I would say I am semi-loli.

There are certain DFCs that I like, but these are the ones that I have come to know from anime series. Examples include Louise from Zero no Tsukaima and Shana from Shakugan no Shana. On the other hand, I am not really into lolis in hentai mangas, characters that I have never seen in the past.

I like loli only to th point its a love story but if it goes too far like bdsm or rape then uh..thats just wrong for me plus they need to have a nice figure coz i dont like those flat chested lolis

I've dipped my toe (so to speak) in all the genres of hentai, and yes art does count heavily.

I wouldn't read BL, GL, or Lolita/Shouta on a constant basis, but since many of my favorite anime characters ARE 16-14 and have relations with the same sex quite often in doujinshi, it really can't be helped.

Have to say that I am a fan, but not a serious one.

And I agree with Dormente, I adore love stories within' hentai, loli or no.

3-4. I like it, but not a seriously huge fan. If one of my characters happens to be young, so be it.

Not really my cup of tea, i like lucky star doujin and pics and dont mind loli as long as they're teens, not children.

As for shota... it turns my stomach to be honest but i wouldnt be uncomfortable talking to someone who does like it, i myself quite like incest themed doujin and i'm sure theres a few who get the creeps from those kind of doujin.

Personally, I love loli and straight shota. Like I have said, though, it depends what age they are supposed to be. I'd like to keep it JB-similar age, but it doesn't always have to be that way. Just look at my favorites list--Boy's Empire, front and center.
