What sort of things have you ever taken too literally?
I know when I first played pokemon way back in the day, I tried to evolve a magnemite into a magneton by putting three of them together into the box.

I can relate to the OP...I thought Slowpoke had to learn the move tail whip and the trainer had to stand back against the water.
