Thinking About It...

This may seem like absolute bitching and moaning but I don't care, if it's supposed to be in another thread, move it and tell me.

I don't get why people send you these messages asking 'are you a boy or a girl?' it just screams stalker to me, honestly, and I'm not saying this to anyone in particular, but I have had people ask me it on youtube and it bugs me a lot because it's usually a guy who asks and it really creeps me out.

I don't wanna tell someone unless I'm, like, friends with them or something, and I know some really cool guys on here who are nothing like that, they're good friends, and isn't it obvious what gender I am!? What guy calls himself Pink-Rabbit? Hello, the name is self-explanitory.

Sorry for bitching guys, I love you all really, but those who do THIS urk me... grr

Tegumi "im always cute"
Just tell them it's none of their beeswax. Simple, really.

Do what I do when I get those stupid friend invites on youtube, ignore/delete.
0
Lol I do but it just seriously urks me, someone just did it to me on Fakku, which annoyed me

This is the internet. People are anonymous, they grow balls, and shit happens. Read it for the lulz, then delete. I got stupid PMs too. I just trolled the fuck a little bit, then I ignored.

Sure it's annoying, but you deal with it. What I find is that people will ask you your gender BECAUSE your username indicates you are not male, especially in settings where males are the majority. (eg. Fakku)

I think people generally address females and males differently and the same goes for the internet. I don't know why it creeps you out, they're not asking for you address.

HAY R U A GUY OR A GURL?????LOLXD

The above statement is usually the lingo of people who ask that question

This problem has two solutions.

A) Look at your inbox and immediately delete any messages from people you don't know.
or
B) Read the actual message, if it asks "Are you a girl or boy" reply with "Fuck off".

Done.

Wait...you're a girl? I just assumed you were a guy because...well most people here are. Especially Tegumi. Also have you seen some of the names around here? It's not always clear what gender someone is. Hell your name could easily be a reference to something which would be a reasonable excuse for using it and being a guy. Though I won't really say you're wrong for thinking people on the internet asking if you're a girl is creepy.

Haha, this just made me laugh.

Back on topic: Really it just suprises people to see a girl on a male dominate site. That and when making friends it helps to know if the person is male or female.

I guess the person just didn't see it from your view point Pink, that indeed, the PM sounds a little stalkerish. Even if they didn't intend it to be.

Shemale maybe. Or perhaps an emo :p

I did have a emo haircut back then.
Now it's curly and unmanagable from Summer.

you a guy or girl?

That was offensive.

Lol

[size=8]Now seriously coco, from that first pic I thought you were a guy.[/h]

I'm a boy. It's rare you will come across a stalker. And if you do, it's rare for them to live round the corner from you...

The only thing I'd ask is someone's name, but if they didn't feel comfortable telling me, then I respect that.

well, whether or not you are a boy or a girl can influence your experiences, opinions, and monthly bodily functions. I can understand someone asking the question if it's in relation to something else, but I can agree if someone asks out of the blue it can be a little stalkerish

I doesn't have to be physically tracking and looking for you irl. Stalking can take place online. There is a differnce between trolling and spamming someone and stalking them.

It's damn funny.
I made a dancer on Ragnarok Online to see what happened if I was 'female' and I can tell 'female' players get treated better than 'male' sprites.
