I was watching my favorite movie ever again yesterday and I got to a certain part where I was like, that was an epic fucking "PSYCH" moment.

Yes, they're surprising but not in the event you described.
Okay a "Psych moment" can go a little something like this:

I shot a dude in the chest and he falls on the ground and is now believed to be dead. Now I think that he's dead and in no way would I expect him to be a problem anymore. When I turn my back to him a "PSYCH moment" occurs as he gets up, which is against my expectations, and he cuts my head off.
So basically, PSYCH, the dude isn't dead.
You expect one result, but then an entirely different result occurs. K?

Replace the word "PSYCH" with the word "NOT" and it'll make more sense.
