is the description of the tag. Personally this is the first time I heard it labeled as vanilla so all I can really go by is this description.
I have noticed a trend to include the vanilla tag in just about any upload that has consensual sex, but I feel that this really isn't the idea behind the Vanilla tag. Others can feel differently, but hey, I'm just going by the description along with my brand of rules lawyering.
In other words, I disagree with you including group sex with describing vanilla despite my usual inclination toward and enjoyment of reading about such.

Its not all just lovey-dovey. Other classical anime ethics can be thrown in too. Like Slice of Life and Shonen, or Shoujo. Even other elements; like Sci-Fi, Fantasy. And genres like group, anal, paizuri, oppai, oral, etc. Maybe not in that order but you get the idea. A hentai that I like alot with just those genres in them is Hatsu Inu the animated series.

Honestly, to me, all porn and hentai that I watch is hardcore, because my definition of that means as explicit as possible. Otherwise, it's ecchi and softcore smut. Yes, that means I consider not just gangbang and NTR as hardcore, but also vanilla and orgies, provided that sex is very clearly shown.

All the stories that do not involve one man and one girl (two at best) doing stuff out of their own will is 'borderline vanilla' much like Minato Fumi forced romance is. Double Penetration easily falls into the gangbang category -it has nothing to do with being consensual or not- which is not really vanilla, it kinda defeats the 'romance' vibes in the story as we've seen girls labeled as sluts for much less.
