Now Un-Lurking

Hey all. Been a lurker for a while now, and studying for end-of-semester exams has got me bored and wanting to contribute.

Spend most of my time either studying, browsing the internet, or picking up new songs on the guitar, bass, or piano. Oh, and reading. I love marathoning a book or manga series in a day.

Its great having a group of RL friends who share the same love for anime, manga, gaming, j-music (THE PILLOWSSS/j-core), and staring at computer screens that I do. But its tough being completely open about everything, especially hentai. So FAKKU has always been special to me.

This is what I'm working on at the moment. Trying to dumb it down a bit, I'll pick up the fancy bits as I go along.

Ooh, a fellow guitarist and pianist!^^ Welcome to Fakku's forums and enjoy your stay! Great playing there, I've been playing for about more than half a year now, but I don't take my time to learn easy songs and jump right through the harder ones, example, "Flight of the Bamboo Cutter ~ Lunatic Princess".

My friends are always telling to calm down and learn easy songs so I can get used to the piano, but, I've learned my way into guitar like this (3 years and a half now) and it's working quite well for piano too haha.

Anyways, great job transcribing that song! I see you didn't read any sheet music. Did you learn to play that yourself by ear? That's some talent you got there. I've attempted at such things before.

Unfortunately, that's not me. The player is Animenzzz, a piano player I follow diligently and one of my sheet music sources.

But oh how I wish I was him... ;_;

Picking up the basics is always a good idea in the beginning, but jumping a few levels once you get going does the trick for some people. Worked for me with DDR and the bass guitar.

No, but I compose my own music on my free time. When I get home later today I'll share some of my stuff. I am considering making a few clarinet recordings, too. Anyways, I'm not going to hijack this thread, so I'll make my own topic in the music forum.
