Making Magazines Physical

1
I honestly love the magazines on here a lot. I'm not sure if it's been suggested or thought of already, but I think it would be amazing if the magazines were sold physically on here. There are some that I just love so much, and if I could purchase them physically or even pay a subscription to keep getting them sent when they release, it would be spectacular.

What are your guys' thoughts on this? Should Fakku start selling the magazines they have translated here?

Magazines in Japan are printed on very low quality paper, which is why they can get away with selling something with twice the page count for 40-80% of the prize of a regular book. They're meant to be easily used and then disposed of. We don't really have this option since our printing situation is very different than in Japan. Our books match some of the highest quality prints in Japan, so keeping it the same would likely balloon the cost of a single magazine to ~$50.

A lot of changes would need to be made in order to make physical magazines financially viable (for us and our customers), so that's one of the biggest hurdles. I would like to look into the possibility of creating a best of 2017 compilation sometime next year, which I think would be the most likely first step. That said, it's far too early to make any promises, and with all the other projects we have in plan for physical releases in 2018, it might not come to fruition.

Plus since the books and doujins come from a printer overseas because jacob still has no luck finding one with in the states or in the area to print the tanks... those magazines would be months old even if we print on newsprint.
