A certain psychiatrist was forced on me when I was in my late teens. I'd talk to him for the first five minutes and his only response to me was something along the lines of "Lively imagination, you're probably feigning and don't even realize it."
He instantly had the idea of what was wrong with me at that time, and he damn well knew I wasn't faking any of it. But he got me where I really didn't expect anything. He surprised me, insulted me, got me angry and therefor working and thinking, and this is where the healing process started for me. Thinking back, brilliant man.
But the chance of finding someone like that is really low, if you end up with someone who's not even interested in you and just does his routine work for the money it's absolutely worthless. Though, there might be people who need just that sort of treatment. A person to talk to, that shows no interest. It's really situational.
Well, first time ever, as I've stated. Only time and future appointments can tell if this one's a keeper.
