As my 4th waifu, I claim Athena from Campione!, originally the goddess of darkness, snakes, owls, the earth, and of life, death, and wisdom. Later she was demoted to being Zeus's daughter in one role, in another, as Medusa, she was turned into a snake monster who turned those who gazed upon her to stone.
She goes beyond your typical creepy girl stereotype by being whimsical and very pro-active, quite at odds with her quiet persona if you think about it.

I claim Taki from Soul Calibur series
She was the character that actually got me into the series. I remember one day I was at a game store and saw her in her third alternate costume performing her exhibition and thought "Dual Swords, I want this game!" and she had been one of my mains all the way to 4. It pissed me off that they replaced her with some new kid in number 5.
In gameplay, Taki was fast, agile, could often and hit hard if you knew how to get your shots in and was great fun to play as. As a person, she was strong, fierce, focused, but also sentimental and strangely emotional. Taki was a woman hardened by the kunoichi's life, but not lost to it. She was the kind of person you wanted by your side, as an ally and as a lover.
