Front page keeps posting old content

Why is it that for the last few weeks, my front page keeps showing old content? Often times that old content is now for sale when it used to be free. I'm certain of this because quite a few of them have been past favorites.

I did. Is that new? My front page used to just show new stuff. Thanks for the help
