God and his feats in all religous works
0
Hello all I dont know why it took me so long to get the chance to write this down but anyway here it comes. I'm a advid reader of commicbooks, manga, graphic novels etc especially H.P love crafts works and I was wondering about the feats God dose with in the bible, old teastment and qu'ran. Do you think the things he dose in the bible etc truly show that he is really omnipotent ? I have talked to fellow comic book readers etc and they have been looking at the God of the bible along with other beings in religon etc and they have said, that by feats God is only universal aka can only rule a universe. Basically he only has
domain over a universe if one would take the bible literaly etc. So what do you all think ?

Going with the "God is real" on this one to make the theory more exciting.
If going by what the Bible says, God can do anything he wants. However, there are no examples on this besides what we read in the stories like Moses, Jesus Christ and the creation of Adam and Eve. If the readings are true, then God can remake the universe or make another universe whenever he wants, we wouldn't know since we would be "erased" or wouldn't see it happen first hand. He is limitless and omnipresent and he is all according to the Bible.
However, we do not know if there is a god that controls the multi-verse and created our universe and God. Kind of like Marvel with the alternate universes, 616 is the "canon" one and ever single hero/villain in each universe appears in another in similar or different form but are present. However, the One-Above-All and the Living Tribunal are only ONE and there are no copies, so if they appear in 616 or Ultimate or another alternate universe, it's the same guy.
We can't tell if our universe's God is the same as the One-Above-All or just a regular deity that is also represented in another form in another universe. If anything, our universe's God can be from Eternity (Marvel celestial) who is the "representative of the universe and the almighty along with Infinity/Galactus/Death/Oblivion" but a step below the Living Tribunal who is also in turn a step below the One-Above-All.

hmmm I see.Confusing but intreasting none the less.So dose it state in the bible or any other text that God is omnipotent etc ? How would the concept of an omniverse be fit into this disscusion and wouldnt we have some sign of another entity in exsistence or is are universe more in line with Dc or image ,where God or random entities hid themselves for what ever reason or are sealed in some astral realm IE H.P Lovecraft mythos.
P.S Raverkid that was the point.lol

That's the problem, if God did make life in another planet, we can't reach them since we don't have the technology to begin with. We aren't aware since he doesn't announce anything to just anyone besides his few "chosen ones" if anything. They haven't come across us either nor have encountered any sort of Cthulhu deity.
Every universe is different in one way or another, for all we know, another alternate universe has the Justice League and the Avengers keeping peace, yet, all the regular humans in this world are also the same in that world. Maybe our universe has a human Clark Kent and a non-Batman Bruce Wayne to begin with. Hell, our universe might not even have any sort of god at all, it all depends what rules our universe has.
We're just talking possibilities in the multi-verse theory anyway.

Can you please be mindful when you write? Like, fix your spelling at least or something. No offense, honestly, my English isn't that good and I have a hard time reading it, I'd like to actually understand your point so we don't clash each other with pointless arguments over a miscommunication.

Devsonfire I'll be sure to look out for spelling mistakes and the like. Now can we please continue on with the disscuision at hand

Back to the topic, I think, if God really exist, he really is omnipotent. For Him to be able to create the universe, He should be able to do anything as He will. If He has the ability to create the universe, what is it that He can't do?
Personally speaking, I do believe God really exist, because I think, all this that has happened to the universe is not simply a "mere accident". When you think about it, it's such a perfectly created for us human beings.
That is all I can say regarding this topic, anything more and I will drift off-course.

Yet again I see you misspell does. You need to pay attention when you are typing your posts. You lose any credibility you might have had when you so frequently display your ineptitude at using the English language.

I'm kinda on the fence on this situation. I don't believe in god, but at the same time I believe their is a higher force than use that's in control. Now about him being omnipotent. I'm not so sure about that. It say's in the Bible that one day the anti-Christ and Jesus will face off and Jesus will win. Now what I don't get through a lot of these stories that include the Devil is why does he send his Son to do it if he has the power to just take everything away from Lucifer? If he's all powerful then shouldn't he be able to handle it himself instead of just giving him Hell, demons, and power to almost win?

I'm going with the "multiple Gods theory" Why ?
'Cuz one God can't fuck me (and everyone else) over this hard. lol
Jk, I'm an atheist.

Maybe he's just doing it for kicks, bored with power and omnipotents he came up with away to have fun. Actualy I think Humans no jack shit about (GOD) since I belive that humans just reflect and see themselves as superior beings strictly for alturistic purposes.

If he can create one universe and rule it id say it would be perfectly realistic to say he can create any other amount of universes and rule them too.
although universe has uni in it because its supposed to be everything in its totality, if you beleive in multiverses then there has to be one where god isnt omnipotent, but the god that is could then go to that multiverse and then there would be one. think of it like the kid in x men that can travel to anywhere at any time in any frame of existence. The kind of thing you'd love to have but would get bored with after an eternity.
also anyone talking about universal power being shown in the bible, thats because in case you or the people youve talked to didnt notice the bible is about the creation of this universe, i dont think the scholars who beleived what they were writing to be true were thinking "lets give god cool powers and show him traveling to other dimensions". they just wrote what the first hand accounts told them to write.

Maybe it's like this :
A (or more) ultra intelligent being(s) had (we call him/them God because we don't understand him/them) the power to create, well, everything we know. Like a computer sim or an ant farm, but ran out or power/lost control after that point so he/they can no longer manipulate it's flow, only watch.
Sheesh, maybe someone should request this thread to be placed into Serious Discussion, huh ?
