[Locked] ? How to change pic format ?

I want to change a pic from png to something that works with paint so i can screw around with it but idk how. using windows btw.

Last I checked png works with paint. Try again sir.

For future reference

1. Open in paint
2. File > save as
3. Picturename.fileformat (jpg gif whatever)

Tested, PNG does work with MS Paint.

If all you want is to change format, just change the file format.

Like, example.png -> example.gif, example.jpg, example.jpeg

When i try to open it with paint, it says:

C:\blah\blah\etc\etc
Paint cannot read this file.
This is not a valid bitmap file or its format is not currently supported.

maybe something is screwy with my paint program(format not currently supported)?

i recently had to replace my hard drive, and the replacement one HP sent me seems a little off.


edit: ok. i got it to paint, and i edited it the way i wanted. but now when i try to make it my avatar it says, "File uploaded is not recognized as an image."

Might be a corruption in the data... photoshop is better than paint for this, but 300$is a lot but if i can find it i have cs3 with crack or you can have my ps7 program.
