3D modeling and animating

I've just gotten really into 3D modeling, and I wonder if anyone else here are doing anything alike? I totally suck at it, since I recently begun and I'm not even a good drawer from the start, but it's really fun, and frustrating =) I tend to try to come up with new things to make for Oblivion, since it allows for some much self made stuff.
Currently I'm using 3Ds Max (I've also tried Blender but don't like it), and I feel like I'm starting to show at least a little progress =) Sorry I can't show you anything I've done yet (-_- yea, absolutely not), but when I get pro I might =P
Anyway, as I said, wondering if anyone else has the same (current) interest, and eventually knows some tips and tricks that could be helpful as well xD
Example of what 3Ds Max can do:
I wish I could show you the video of where a dude is making a model of a knight, it's fucking insane, but unfortunately I can't find it streamed =/

Nah, not really interested in making the models. But this process looks cool. I know alot of people who are getting into that to work for Pixar and the like.

Last year I had a sudden urge to learn 3D (thanks to SOTC), and tried a bit of lightwave. But I wasn't really dedicated enough to actually start learning, being busy with school, drawing and other things. But i'm still quite interested in it and might give it another try someday.
Also, show us when you manage to making something cool. :D

Modeling is one thing, rigging and animating is another thing lol.
My modelling is okayish at best,I totally suck at rigging which makes animation impossible.
I havnt made anything thats nice enough to show to people though.
I am using Maya btw

Lol, yea well, I'm of the opinion that they go hand in hand; you do it in the same program, and it's more fun to animate the models that you've made (if they are supposed to be animated).
Ah well, my modeling sucks, and probably my animation as well. I did make a nice wooden cart (based upon the one used by Lawrence in Spice and Wolf) with functional, rolling wheels though, but that was pretty easy xD Yea, I blow =P
EDIT: Wanna see something Really neat 3D modeling and animating, check THIS video out

@argentine and anyone else: If you have something you want rigged, I wouldn't mind trying.

I think my rigging is a bit above my modeling. Or maybe it's because I'm in a rigging class right now...
I've used XSI and currently using Maya.
Current project: female figure which hopefully I can rig and get animating.

If you're into facial animation and modeling get "Stop Staring" by Jason Osipa.

I have never tried it myself but I have a friend who loves 3D modeling and making animations and such. He's pretty good at it too.
