a good program for making animated gifs?

Yeah, last time I made animated gifs, I did it with Adobe ImageReady, and that was ages ago. Now I want to create some gifs, but, but cant find ImageReady anywhere (it used to come with photoshop).
So, to the point. Anyone know any good [size=10](and easy to find)[/h] program I can use to make gifs? All those "free gif makers" I find on google kinda scares me :(

Image ready is what i use for non video files.. super is free and easy.. vegas program is better but cost $$$...
And image ready was replace it flash and illustrator.... i still kept my 7.0 for this purpose.
