An Interesting Internet Problem

I only have limited knowledge when it comes to networks, and it has utterly failed me with this little issue.
I'm managing a wireless network for my dorm that I recently set up. There are 10 or so machines on the network, and every thing seems to run fine, except for my machine.
Ever few minutes or so, the internet speed on my machine will slow to a crawl. I can't load pages/images. However if I'm downloading a video or file during the time pages won't load, those continue as normal. So it is only pages or images, everything else loads fine. If I press on, I get firefox's "Connection has timed out" message. If I wait a minute or two, pages will load again, but the problem presents again quickly after. Before, when my lone machine was hooked into the internet, this was not a problem. I've tried connecting both wirelessly and directly into the Router's lan ports, no dice.
This is only happening on my lone machine. I tested it with other computers on the network, none of them were having the problem. So great, it's my computer. Problem is I have no idea why it's happening. Any help, even a nod in the right direction, would be amazing. Sorry for the wall of text.

They might just be hogging the bandwidth, so if you cap their bandwidth, or even block some programs [ie: p2p[utorrent ect]] that in itself should boost your own connection speed.
As to capping the bandwidth, that's where i'm not so helpful. I know some routers have traffic shaping programs built in [like my network card] but that depends on the brand and age of the router.

I have a 4 computer network here. All wireless including the printer
They all ran fine except my DullDell laptop
I checked everything, moved my computer in different areas, and even stuck it next to the router. what I discovered is that the Dell 1490 wireless mini lan card on my laptop is a piece of crap. What it turns out to be is a 1490 Broadcom that Dell jacked around with to the point that only Dell software works.Or more specifically doesn't work
I bit the bullet and bought a USB Wireless lan and plugged it in after disabling the Dell lan card
Works fine
