Anyone making something special for christmas/New years?

I myself am making cinnamon ginger buns with a homemade icing for chirstmas. I am making a test batch of right now to try to ensure the highest quality buns for my family. I will post pics and possibly a video either tonight or tommoror

Tamales- X-mas eve
Steak and crab- X-mas
Black eye peas and ham- New year's
Booze- New year's eve

Having Tamales for Christmas too. They are so hard to make though. It is tedious and long work.

I'm probably making my tears-of-joy-inducing alfredo sauce. If I don't get lazy, that is. XD

I made a simple chocolate cake for a party a few days ago. I probably won't make anything more thogh.

Tamales for Christmas week, Cioppino tonight for an early Christmas Eve dinner, and I'm not sure what we're having for Christmas Dinner.

Then homemade Japanese food if I go visit relatives on New Years.

There is only one type of Tamales: Beef with the red sauce wrapped in a banana leaf or corn husk... depends on the masa and what texture your going for.

I need to get some tamales.

I made a prime rib roast. sweet potato casserole, ambrosia salad with homemade whip cream, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy. For dessert I made a pumpkin pie and my grandmother made a chocolate cream pie.

I made different varieties of refreshing drinks on Christmas.

Now I'm going to cook a delicious Crab and Corn Soup with egg for New Years.

more than likely for new years my family and I will be making lasagna...home made of course

I made a Victorian Era christmas pudding, and used a whole bottle of brandy to do it.

I made Roasted Duck for the Adults in the family and for the children I made Spiced Ham.

All the sides were the same Cornbread stuffing,Roasted Winter Vegetables, Microgreen Salad, and teh dessert was Chocolate Fondue.
