Being accused of something you didn't do. Wat do?

Have you ever been accused of something you didn't do?

Let me give you a couple of examples just so you know what the fuck I'm talking about:

• Being accused of telling a friend's friend a secret that your friend told you and only you, but somehow their friend knows about it.

• Or, your friend was told that you've bullshitted about them behind their back, and despite the lack of any solid proof at all, you're a prime suspect anyway because you're involved.

Well chances are whenever a similar situation arises, you can handle it alot better than I can. I am a complete retard whenever something like this happens to me and I have no idea how to handle the situation or how I'm meant to react. I'm not going to go into great detail, but basically I'm being suspected of saying something to someone via text that I didn't do. I have little to no credit, I don't have said person's number nor do I want it, and I'm perfectly capable of contacting him via Facebook, but I don't want to or ever have. But, my friend (the one with the secret) won't believe me.

So basically, wat do? *facedesk*

Whenever something like that happens to me, I simply choose to move for the high road. I open up completely, and calmly state my piece. I don't resort to emotional warfare of any kind [smack-talking, going around behind peoples' backs, schemes] and if they choose to ignore the truth in favor of suspicion, then I simply don't need them in my life.

Honestly, Mike.. you deserve better. Give them a chance to listen to you, but if they seem more interested in being dramafags, well.. you're too old for that shit.

Neither do I, can't stand the drama that comes with it. I took your advice (before you gave it. Are you a time-traveller?) and I explained my side of the story, what little story I had, and just left it at that.

I normally try to stay away from the drama 'cause I fucking hate it.

If the friend absolutely refuses to believe you, you're better off without them.

They said i rob a house when i was 10. I just when in because the door was ripped off and their no one living with in 12 miles of it. 'You stole my nes'... BITCH I HAZ TWO OF THEM AND A N64 plus a snes. I did eat your food and drink your shit though.. so should of had a better door in bear country rich white people.

Honesty is the key factor. Just look at them straight in the face and tell them the truth saying you didn't say nor did any of the accusing statement. That's how I usually handle it and it usually works. Also say it calmly with no anger emotions involved 'cause it will look like you're just saying it to make yourself innocent.

if im ever accused of something i didn't do i immediately stay calm and ask for the evidence pointing towards what the accuser is saying I did. I refute the evidence in a clear, calm, and concise manner. Acting appalled that such a thing would ever be brought up against me I assume the position of someone who would never do such a thing.

Then when its all done and the person has left feeling not only guilty for bringing anything up in the first place but ashamed of themselves for accusing me of such a deed I reflect on how I got caught and remember to not leave as many tracks the next time. :3

I would honestly just say, no shit: 'Look, I didn't tell them shit. If you don't believe me, fine. Go fuck yourself. If you were really my friend, you'd believe me.'

Just leave him be... I for one, get really really REALLY pissed when people accuse me for stuff I didn't actually do... If I'm happy, and you accuse me of doing something I haven't done (obviously scale can change the level of anger, and how much you press) I will say 'no, I didn't do it' and if they keep pressing, I get really shitty... My mood will swing from happy to about to rip your fucking ballsack off in about a minute :> I'm such an angry bastard
