Lawrence x Holo (Spice & Wolf). Then Tomoya x Nagisa (Clannad). It irritates me that Kirito x Asuna (SAO), is up there at the top. They're relationship is just stupid, based on the anime alone. Yes it is a good relationship further on in the series, but that is only IF you have read further on into the light novel, which I asume the vast majority haven't and base their choice upon the anime alone. Unlike Lawrence x Holo and Tomoya x Nagisa, whom have a great relationship and work so perfectly together, which is portrayed very well in their animes.

Okazaki Tomoya × Nagisa Furukawa (Clannad) - The feels from the second season

It should have been a free-choice poll and allow the people to vote their couples without restrictions. I cannot vote Otonashi and Kanade because they're not here, for example, and they're my favorite couple without doubts.

I don't have a favorite anime couple, though if I had to choose, and it had to be on this list it would be Tomoya and Nagisa from Clannad. The FEELS!

Kirito and Asuna are just a fork and spoon pairing, much like Bella and Edward. Fairy Tail exemplifies what a fork and spoon pairing is. Almost on every fairy Tail video, it's someone saying Gajeel X Levy or Natsu X Lucy or Makarov X Fuck-face. People just see a girl and boy in an anime and just pair them mindlessly without any effort or thought put into the relationship. You could make a manga about a fork and spoon and people would pair them. It's so easy, just create a boy and create a girl, give them boring characteristics and they will automatically be pairing. Twilight's success in a nutshell. People didn't pair them up, they fell in love an got married... I started liking them as a couple after they got yui involved as their daughter.
