Best Earbuds For Cheap
0
Hey guys, I'm having a pretty hard time deciding on which earphones I should get after mine broke. I had a pair of Skullcandy Ink'd 2.0, which actually lasted me a month. Thing Is, I was running from a girl with them hanging out my pocket and they caught on too something and popped...Long story but yeah anyways,
Do any of you know some good pair of earphones for at least $30 or $25 and under? I've been thinking about getting myself another pair of Skullcandy, but this time Titans. If you do know could you give me some suggestions? Because I actually liked Skullcandy despite all the bad reviews on them, they worked completely fine for me and sound quality was very nice. So if you can, tell me what you would think would be the best quality earphones for at least 30 dollars and under and where to get them.

Earbuds suck but the sony ones that cost 10$ are good and the ones that fit inside the canal are ok. I have a pair of beats i bought for 39$ that i use all the time unless i driving since the helmet kinda fucks that idea.
Was so cheap because a friend runs best buy here.

I use these beasts (over ear headphones). I make electronic music, and they have crisp sound output with a great bass boom.
Not to mention that I've had them for about a year and they're still good as new.
Sorry that they're over ear headphones though; I'm not exactly sure if you wanted ear buds specifically, or just any headphones that are cheap.

Earbuds specifically, don't get me wrong I have no problem with over ear headphones. It's just that when I be out somewhere I don't want something that's gonna make me stand out.

I have to say, beats and skullcandy, or beats by dre all sound like ass.
For in ear headphones? I have no particular preference for either. I just chuck in whatever is cheap. I got some $20 headphones, which worked perfectly. Got some $20 earphones, and they worked well, but fell apart after some time. Got some proper $50 apple ones, and they worked well, but fell apart after some time. Though, this was a few years ago, so now I'd say the quality of $20 or less earphones would be better, so you'd be able to get some cheap ones that wouldn't break apart and feel like shit in your ears.
Just get something cheap from kmart or wallmart or whatever your country's version is.

Eh, I'm a budget audiophile -my current sad hobby s scrounging scrapyards for high-quality speakers- it's amazing what people throw away. I managed to get a pair of JBL and Yamaha speakers for about 4.00. But, so you said you wanted earbuds.
Fuck earbuds. They'll make you deaf (okay that's me channeling my grandfather there). For my computer, I'm using a pair of amazungly high-quality LifeChat LX300s y parents gifted me a couple Christmases ago, thinking that it'd help with my then-obsession of competitive FPS gaming. (You can tell how short my atention span is.)

I think the Earbuds that come with the Iphone/Ipod are decent enough in the sub $50 range. Here's a recommendation from head-fi on another earbud: Hisound Audio E350 Earbud.

Although, when they are together, they are pretty bloody comfy. That said, a place I wandered into today had some earphones that looked identical, and were $7

Well first and foremost, the only thing that makes a pair of headphones or any other speaker good is their capacity to translate data into sound. In music, there is a certain range that speakers have to be able to cover. Only the crappiest of headphones aren't able to cover the mass spectrum of sound waves that music covers (apprx.6 Hz-16kHz). Beyond that, what differs between most headphones is the frequencies that they choose to bring out. So if you want, you can just take a graphic/linear equalizer and turn up and down frequencies that you like, I.e. Bring out the 12Hz range sounds for more bass.
I've personally carry multiple headsets for different occasions. Apple EarPods for on the go, Beats by Dr. Dre for on the computer, and Senheiser 380s for producing. If it's in ear headphones, Skullcandies work just fine. As long as you don't buy some random off the shelf pair and stick with a reasonable brand name, like Sony, Skullcandy, Bose, etc. you should be find. Just download an equalizer and customize to what you like. Message me if you need help with the equalizer or don't know which setup to use for a genre.

Earbuds don't tend to be very high quality in the first place.
Some 15 dollar Sony earbuds I had lasted me for a while and got the job done. Skullcandies aren't that good, don't bother if you don't care about the design.

And in saying that, some completely butcher the sound from the quality of their speakers. such as beats and skullcandies, neither worth their weight in aids.
You won't be able to hear anything below 25~hz, so below that it really doesn't matter, and I think up to 20khz is still pretty used, so 6-16 sounds pretty average iirc.
All I know is, my sub goes down to 35hz pretty comfortably, and only gets very flappy below 30. And there are almost no songs that go below 30hz. Or if they do, not many people would hear those notes, unless they had crazy systems.
I know a friends show car does 20hz easily, and gets massive scores off that, but still. barely anything has 20hz tones in it.
So, with that being said, a cheap pair of headphones won't sound all the bad in comparrison, unless you manage to get some that sound like mud... which wouldn't last long.
The pair I got for $7 did the job perfectly. The pair I got for $20 did it about the same, but slightly better quality.
