Broken CD Drve but need to install Word

About two years ago my laptop fucked up and my dad wiped everything from it. One of the things that was wiped from the computer were all office programs.
Recently I was able to get my hands on a "Office Home and Student" package. However one of the things wrong with the laptop was that it couldn't read discs anymore. That hasn't been fixed yet. (And probably wont since that would cost me money)
I was hoping that there was a way to use the Hard Copy to get an Online Copy. Can anyone help me?

the only thing I can think of is find a torrent, and just use your valid product key. but I'm not sure if that will work.
I will look into it and see what I can find.
EDIT:
or download the trials, and enter the product key? idk how microsoft's trials are like

Insert the disc into a computer with a functional optical drive, show all hidden files and folders(win+r->control folders->view tab->Show hidden files, folders and drives->Apply), go into my computer, right click the drive with the office disc and click Explore or Open depending on your windows version(so the autorun doesn't run), copy all the files into a folder on a usb drive. Then run the setup.exe from the usb drive on the computer with the dysfunctional optical drive.
Alternatively, you could do what TheBookie said and download a trial if MS still has your version of office online, but that reminds me of this situation.
If your office version is old(like 2003 and before), I support the torrent option.
