Capturing images from video

I would like to know what software you recommend me to capture images from a video, I mean turn a sequence of video into a series of images

a video editor allows you to export your video file as an image sequence with each frame being rendered as an image. Sony vegas and adobe after effects both support this output. I dont know about adobe premier though :-?. Most probably it also supports this output.

You can just use Media Player Classic.
Go into the file you want, then here

You will be prompted to choose how many screenshots you want (in a grid of columns x lines), and it'll make your image. After that's done you will get something like this:

id say this would be much better than vegas since its simple and straight forward.
