Couple in a snow storm meme

So a snow storm hit japan almost a week ago and there was a cute couple that was interviewed by the local news about the walking in the snow. Twitter has retweeted a screen capture of the interview and several anime parodies have popped up. I find the new meme adorable.
This weekend, Japan was slammed with on heaviest snowfall from one storm since January 1994. Tokyo received 8.7 inches, with Matsumoto getting buried with the heaviest amount at over 19 inches. Amongst all the disruptions, social media users found themselves being amused by a TV interview in which a young man embarrassed his girlfriend with a bit to TMI.
Here, the young man told the interviewer that he enjoys being together with a loved one during a snow storm... which prompted a hit of blushing and a whole lot of tribute art.

I believe there was another twitter repost where the poster had circled around the girl's hand. She has a ring on but the guy doesn't seem to have one so some speculate that she was hiding her face because she was engaging in an affair of sorts.

I saw the those rumors as well. That could also be an engagement ring, since engagement rings tend to have the big diamond. Wedding bands are usually a normal gold or silver ring that is the same for both waifu and husbandu.
