Dating -> Boyfriend/Girlfriend Status

Until you celebrate your anniversary, or until both parties are in mutual union.
The anniversary is can vary between one months, two months, half a year, and of course a year(which is a total definite if you can make it this far.)
Mutual union/mutual feelings/mutual bonds....seems pretty obvious no?

The process depends on whether you are a guy or girl. Usually there is some sort of define the relationship talk. I personally don't like to define things, if things are good, just take things one day at a time.

Well, by definition, any relationship is exclusive, as long as neither of you is having another. Marriage, oaths, and other commitments are only meaningless words of transient nature, actions (rather in this case lack of) is what counts.

Dating is basically boyfriend and girlfriend status unless you both say it's not. But, aside from that when two people start dating and not just take one out on one date. It's Boyfriend and Girlfriend right there from the start. But, most do agree on not having it official until a month or so. But, in my eyes are pretty much boyfriend/girlfriend unless you're seeing other people as well.

Until one or both decide to be one.. most likely when you let him lay on you.. we tend to be exclusive when we're getting some until the point when we want more different chicks.. a good question to ask is ' are we a item or are you still window shopping on layaway.

Well, she says that although we're dating we aren't bf/gf and we are allowed to date others if we wanted too; however she doesn't date twice at once. It's just what she goes bye.

Then find out if she's interested in you so you don't waste your time or anything you know..Find out your progress. Find out if she's willing for you both to become a couple. Because, last thing anybody would want is for that to go on too long just for one to lose interest while the other still has interest...

It's just what she goes bye. She'll bring it up when she wants it. Sounds to me like she doesn't want the title of 'girlfriend' right now. I can't read the real life dynamics...but from the sounds of your posts, I would keep my options open and protect my heart...just in case.
As the 'process', there is no official process. Here is what it looks like for me....you start dating, you get physical, you have a physical relationship for a few months, the girl brings up a define the relationship talk.

That a loaded and complex question... I guess if you two are in love and are together most of the time via dates, with her at her place or vice versa your, and talking. plus .. hmm what base are you on. Kissing, foreplay, sex, other things... i guess the only way to know is to know.
Would you beat the hell out someone looking and flirting on your girl?
Would you ever move in with her?
Would you run away if she got knock up?
Are you willing to be with her for a long period of time?
Are you in love and vice versa..
probley more but i lack the more example off the top of my head.

Alright, that sounds safe.

Kissing is probably as far as I'll get and I guess I'm fine with that for now. I don't know if this factor is significant or not but She's Christian and I'm agnostic. She doesn't know that I am.

Yeah but, try to have a normal conversation flow into it ya know? It's kind of how I am with my girlfriend now. I avoided popping it up right away and talked normally until I saw an opening and such. But, in general yes..you will be flat out asking her if she's interested and willing to take the next step with you.

Oh I wasn't concerned about that. I was just wondering if she would accept me at all.

Ah, sorry. All this talk about bases... Well, you're the agnostic one so it's up to you to do the accepting thing.

I would believe that after a couple of dates and there seems to be some sort of connection between the two that you become Boyfriend/Girlfriend. Of course, you would want to talk about it and just say to date just one person since some people will date other people while they are dating since they aren't in a full relationship yet.

Slightly off-topic, but I have to ask. Are relationships really this hard usually? I mean, first dating, then bf/gf status, engagement, marriage and what ever. Does it have to be that hard? I've been with my bf for 7 years and the whole time since the first time he came to see me and we held hands and kissed we have been a couple. Why do people need to make stuff so so complicated?
But really, if she doesnt think of you as gf and bf, there's a possibility that she doesnt want to get serious yet, just in case she finds someone better. Or, she might actually be afraid of serious relationships and commitment. Or if she's christian, she could hold your relationship back, because she's afraid of sex. Or she might not like you that much. There are many options and you should just talk with her.
