RX-78GP03 Gundam "Dendrobium Orchis"

METEOR

An issue came up on Youtube on Prime92's "Lets Build 1/144 HG Dendrobium" where a person is going so out of his way to prove that METEOR is better than Dendrobium and his main points was, "METEOR is better because it's sleeker and technologically better and it moves better." To me these points are very weak because they both move the same, sleekness doesn't have anything to do with it being better other than looking smaller and they're the same tech wise but METEOR doesn't have the i-field whereas Dendrobium does.

                        Dendrobium
It got wide array of armaments to support both of its offense and defense abilities (missiles, MOAR missiles, mega beam cannon, bazooka, beam rifle, chain mine, claw, HUEG beam saber and I-field to defend against beams which METEOR lacks of)
And... Do the gundam on it counts too or it just the Orchis and METEOR unit?
Because if it is, I think GP03S Stamen is inferior from Freedom and Justice which is the downside of GP03 I say.

I guess give opinions on both with and without the Gundams. Also METEOR doesn't necessary have to be with Freedom or Justice cause in the Delta Astray manga, Blue Frame was using METEOR and I don't remember if Elijah's Zaku was using it also.

Dendrobium baby.. Warship class cannon, I Fielder... What else... Anti warship demolition chain, and a bunch of hidden weapons, plus it has a 360 degree monitor for viewing. Who cares bout beams, meh, dendrobium will nullify it, and it moves faster it seems. :p

Dendrobium is a freaking MONSTER. METEOR can't compare to it. If you look up for the armament in both units you see that Dendrobium outclasses SEED. Sure they have gigantic beam saber and that (care bear power) rainbow of doom but the grunts in SEED are assholes that volunteers themselves to be sacrificed which makes for easy kill for the METEOR. Oh but against Dendrobium don't think you can pull it off that easy. Have you seen that thing move? No way a unit stuck on METEOR could easily keep up with Dendrobium. And that little Stamen with its hand free will keep firing its bazooka towards you. Oh and I-Field, so beam spam don't work. METEOR is screwed.
The only one that I can think that could actually go toe on toe with the Dendrobium is the Deep Striker. Both are Monsters, AU's Mobile Armors don't hold a candle against UC's Mobile Armors.
Here a video of Dendrobium in action. Even in the hand of normal pilot it still wreaks havoc against the enemies. Oh and the grunts in UC are not idiots like the ones in CE.
If you see Debdrobium coming at you you better run. Run far far away because it will chase you and breaks you and everyone you know into space metal scrap.

                        Dendrobium for sure.
In regards to the METEOR, it's main problem is its profile. In terms of weight, the METEOR is significantly lighter than the Dendrobium, but it presents a much larger target at most angles. Not only that, but the elongated design itself is inherently only effective at forward maneuvering, thus making emergency side-to-side movements less effective. Considering the low protection the METEOR offers to its core MS, lack of an I-field(or similar device), and the large profile it presents should make rapid maneuvering a key component. Since the METEOR has relatively low defensive capabilities and little maneuverability to compensate, I would have to say the METEOR is fatally flawed.
In regards to the Dendrobium, it's main advantage is that it has extremely high defensive capabilities as well as great maneuverability. Even without the I-field barrier, it offers great all-round protection for the Stamen, leaving very little of it exposed. In my opinion, the Dendrobium is the best dock-type MA yet designed.
