Double Standards on Heteros Accepting Homosexuality

I don't understand something....perhaps I never did. But here it is:

Why is it that men are so quick to want to accept lesbian situations but won't have anything to do with gay situations?

I, for example, am engaged to a man who is like this. He enjoys lesbian things but will look the other way when something between two males are mentioned. I like lesbian pornography but prefer yaoi only in manga. Also, I've wanted to have a threesome for no particular reason other than to enjoy myself. He won't agree with me. -sigh- He says he'll do it if it's me and another woman but not another man...I guess for fear of becoming gay?

Anyway, is it just me or is there a double standard? Any insight on this theory?

Now, are you asking just about sexual preferences or also about attitudes? Because there is a definite double standard when it comes to how men feel about homosexuality between woman and homosexuality between men.

Wanting two women to be able to get married but not two men is discrimination; but wanting to jerk off to two women having sex but not two men is not.

All about the habtitude up in this question. He needs to get used to the idea. Like a muslim stucked in a christian community or a straight adopted into a bi family, time passes and they get used to their surrounding mentalities and, as a result, accept it. It's not a double standard, it's just preference. Most straight guys aren't interested in being involved with the same sex in any way...just like how you don't want to be involved with someone unattractive.

Some people like football, others find it to be a crappy sport. Some guys find it hot to watch their girl get fucked by a group of guys...most don't enjoy that.

If you don't mind either way, why not have a threesome with 2 girls? You'll both get your threesome and everyone's happy.

I think woman usually don't care what others think about there sexuality and men of course do and men are always judged on there sexuality by others (mostly men) so that makes us think that "if I look at homosexual male as normal then that makes me a homosexual" and that's why they can't look at homosexuals problems or for short it's all weird in the brain of us males from us calling each other gay.

Why men will have a threesome if it's with another woman but not another man:
Men will not have sex with a girl with another man because he isn't homosexual and he thinks by doing so its the same as having sex with a guy also the guy might not like the fact that his woman is having another guys dick in her and the same goes women but not as much as men because just like I said before woman usually don't care what others think about there sexuality and men do.

Many men have latent homosexual urges. due to religious and societal standards, exposer to overt homosexuality can be deeply disturbing and confusing.

It's a bit of both. I was asking for your thoughts on the idea as well as giving a personal example.

I'd say the reasoning behind it really depends on the type of guy he is. If he's the type that would throw someone against a wall just for whistling at you, then of course he wouldn't like the thought of another male getting his way with you, despite the conditions. If he's the shy type or someone who doesn't really want to purposely get into an altercation, then there's the possibility that he's questioning what if the guy you bring is bigger than him, or makes you feel better than he can. It would seem that being a male these days is all about competition. Hell, he might even be upset at the thought that you could have another male ready and willing with just a snap of your fingers, unless you're talking about a threesome with his best friend or something.

All in all, he may also just have no desire at all to see another male's naked body, or feels like you may tell him to do something to the other male in the heat of the moment. Me, personally, wouldn't have a threesome with another male, though I generally find sex pointless so I wouldn't even have a twosome. That being said, I also don't see the real point of having a threesome with two girls, while you only have one penis. So it'd be mostly girl on girl if you're too worn out to do anything to the other girl. Seems to me that two is the perfect number for sex, because not everyone can use the ol' Magical Two Dicks when in a threesome like you see in hentai.

I'd recommend setting some ground rules first, as to what you would and wouldn't expect him to do, as well as allowing him to give his input on things he wouldn't be comfortable with as well. But if he's truly 100% against it, throwing a temper tantrum to make him agree wouldn't be the best idea, as you'll wind up with a fiance that can't get it up at all. Then it'll still be a threesome, it's just that one of the three would be watching in a chair.

as homosexuality was mentioned in both the title and the OP, i infered it was a existing issue within their relationship, so i was adressing that portion of the topic.

perhaps he feels inadequate. he may fear that the other dude will be bigger or better(or both) than he is. if that's the case, he probably doesn't realize that two women means he has twice the cahnce to fail, and double the humiliation if he does.

I'd say it's just due to the fear of gay..

cause as much as i like watching double penetration, i wouldn't want to do it.. mainly due to the following reasons:
