Draw With Me 2, and Sentimentality

I remember when I first stumbled into the forums. Zak was around, so was Nash. Gugu and Slayer were on their first accounts, RBZ posted a lot, and Long was on his first account too. I must have read through every thread that was on the first ten pages of IB back then. Call me a romantic but I loved this place; it was exactly the kind of place I had been looking for- one where liking anime and reading manga was normal, where masturbating to your favorite characters was commonplace, and where you could always get some kind of advice or feedback for whatever was happening. Things always seemed to warm and shiny back then, looking in from the outside.


When I had first joined it was my first foray into online forums. I was timid, I rarely posted, and I lurked for almost six more months. Then I completely forgot the forums existed. I would be here maybe once a week for whatever was on the front page and then would leave. A year after making my account I found the forums again, just as frightened of missing a step as I was before. I started to post some, mostly around Random and LR&R, but it was never much. I would type out my reply, then read over it four or five times to make sure it sounded alright. If it didn't in any way I would delete the whole thing and leave the thread. One day I stumbled into CTFG- before I knew how bad it was- and then I really started to post. I'm sure you know how that place is, little posts where nothing is ever accomplished, but it brought me out of my fear. I dropped the forums again when things started to pick up in high school.


I came back again and the place had changed. It was several months later and suddenly a lot of the names and users I had come to recognize had left and new people replaced them. This time I decided that I would be more active, and after a couple months I was starting to be recognized by other users. The first time I was mentioned really sticks out in my mind. At the time, that was a real feat to me. I had walked into something totally new to me and now I started to feel like I fit in. From there I kept posting and kept being active. I hit elite status and that was more than I had even thought to do when I first joined. Time went by, I became and elder, I became an IB regular.


It's been quite the ride. There have been ups and there have been downs, but it was well worth it thus far. I feel like I can say, with absolute certainty, that I've made real friends from all over the world on this site. That thought, that feeling means so much to me that I can't even properly put it into words. These guys will tell me about things in their lives, ask for advice when things get tough, and even help me through my own duress. I've helped others to come out of their shells and have discovered things about myself that I never would have without Fakku. You guys and even this site as a whole have changed my life for the better in ways I never would have expected three months ago. For all that, and so much more, I'd like to thank you guys. Not just the people I've met but every user who's ever posted, all the mods that have come and gone, all the admins be they active or not, and every upload group that I've read from.

So thank you, all of you. May whatever you do in life and wherever life may take you bring you happiness in the end.
