EVA model... but no clue which! *DONE! Photos up*

I have this new (well old, actually... says 1997 on the box!) EVA 01 non-scale model that I bought at a convention.
Only thing is... it's not the typical snap-model one, it came prepainted but I had to cut the parts out of what seems to be extra mold material.
However, I have no idea what sort of glue/cement to use as it's all in Japanese...
Hope these photos can help me ID it, as I'd love to know well just how to make it and how much it's worth lol!
Pics of the box below. Forgive it for being image heavy, spoilers are broken...
[spoil]

^^^ Instructions ... I just cut the parts out like it said, but no clue beyond that.

This makes me wonder whether it was a UFO prize... Sega?

Plastic glue/Model Glue. You can find it at a hobby shop or online. Don't use PVA, it melts plastic.
Example:http:http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat470007a&prodId=prod1095410
PS: The model looks pretty sick. I hope it turns out well.

Soooo any clue as to model name or number?
Of course I'm still halfway through making it so it's not like I can resell it, but it'd be nice to know it's "official" kit name.

Ah so I finally have been getting to work on it.
This pic is a few days old, but I'm making more progress.
My only qualm with the super glue is that it shows a bit when it gets on the wrong area... but oh well. :)

Finally finished :)
Here it is! :D
I did a little bit of inking some things with Sharpie according to the box art... even the shoe sole details ;3;, and also added some blue to the back of the fingers.
It was really fun! I think I should make more... just frustrated a little by the Super Glue residue on some parts though, but oh well. :D

Damn that looks nice.
Eva models are very nice, and a good challenge to those that only do gundam models.

Crazy glue it....if not then use duck tape....duck tape fixes all of life's problems. If you can't duck it, fuck it.
Try just normal airplane glue from Hobby Lobby or something, assuming it's all plastic, it's in a red tube and just called plastic cement, but if it's got metal, try metal glue, or an epoxy. Hell, just take it to a local arts and crafts store and ask, they'd probably know.

Turns out it was a vinyl figure kit, as I suspected.

Was awesome how it came prepainted, I'd never seen a vinyl kit offer that :o

I have a snap piece unit 01 and unit 04, they both came out pretty well. I've never used a vinyl kit before though, what are they like to work with?

Most of the parts come with extra, flexible vinyl attached. Basically what was left over from the mold process, which has to be carefully cut away with a hobby knife and sorta sanded to fit together.
Luckily, this kit came prepainted. I'd have freaked if it hadn't...
