FAKKU 11 Year Anniversary

Today marks 11 years since FAKKU launched from my small college dorm room in Massachusetts. We've gone from a small scanlation website to the largest English hentai publisher in the world. Since we went official we've published over 3,000 pieces of content from over 700 artists. We have published more content this year than the entirety of content we published in 2014 - 2016 combined. Earlier this week we announced our acquisition of Kitty Media, with which we hope to revitalize the hentai anime market and bring hentai anime back to FAKKU.

And we have one more big licensing announcement we hope to get out before the end of this year.

Back when the forums first went online I tried to reply to every user that posted. I still remember many of you that have stuck around over the years and been a part of the community. It's crazy to think that behind every avatar and meme there's another person out there going through their life, taking part in this with the rest of us. All brought together by nothing more than a shared interest in two dimensional Japanese cartoon pornography.

Now, FAKKU is way more than just me. We have a bunch of incredible staff that make everything we do possible. Like all of you, I look forward to reading the new releases they work hard on and publish each day.

So really, I (and everyone at FAKKU) owe a big thank you to all of you. Without you FAKKU wouldn't be what it is today. I grew up on FAKKU (for better or for worse) and you've all been a part of my life from college into adulthood. Your support has allowed me to pursue my dreams, it has given me opportunities to meet people around the world, and it has allowed me to make friends who will be a part of my life forever.

I came here in like 2008 thanks to the [FAKKU.NET] Tag on a School Days "OVA". Came here horny, found some good H.
Joined in 2009 to access a now deleted section of the forums because it was the only point I could get something I wanted.

I have met wonderful Friends on here, had many sleepless nights on the forums and huge discussions.
I am glad i found this place.

All because some college dude wanted Porn of that one german chick.

I found this website by mistake. I never left since.

I'm uncertain if I stick around because I'm stubborn, don't like leaving where I feel comfortable, or I'm just too loyal, but I've stuck around year after year since the beginning of 2008 and made some great friends and memories along the way. Although I stayed secluded to the Writing & Fanfiction section, I still enjoyed the content and community as a whole. Every year since 2011 I look forward to running our annual Winter Writing Contest (link to this year's run, it's still going on!) and making new memories of the interesting things people create. For me, it was more than a congregation of hentai enthusiasts, it was our creative outlet for a simple hobby like writing.

FAKKU has really grown, and having had the privilege to watch it become bigger, more official, producing excellent content, and even personally helping that along the way, I become proud. I am proud of the steps that you—we've—made to help build this niche community into something productive and larger than itself.

Thanks for all the hard work you've done, Jacob, staff, forum admins and mods, and any loyal enthusiasts and contributors who've pitched in towards this endeavor. Your success makes me feel content with camaraderie.

I've been here since 2009 and a lot's happened over the years. I remember I used to run a Nosebleed thread when the Nosebleed section was a thing. I also remember when Fakku had the games section and I downloaded the demo to Katawa Shoujo there as well as this game called Sentimental Shooting. I still have that game too.


In any case, it's been great seeing Fakku grow and become what it is today and I'm looking even more forward to what it will become in the future.

I would be about 1500$ richer, but knowing me i'll just spend it on other things. Plus kills the time and boredoms of life..

I recently subscribed after being a forum member for years and years. To be honest I wasn't sure how well the site was going to do after it went legitimate. After all I've seen in recent months though Its clear my worries were unfounded. Even if you guys have too much vanilla for my tastes, I am glad to contribute to the continued growth of the English hentai community.

Since you have already been exceeding my expectations why not go on to achieve even more? I really hope for a huge growth of eroge purchases on the site. Being able to get a bunch of awesome nukige from here would be amazing. I may have lacked faith before but now I know guys can do it. I'll be waiting.

I started visiting Fakku back after watching a podtaku episode 5 years ago where they brought up Fakku. I would lurk on the forums but never really joined the community until Fakku started hiding controversial content. I joined the community and never looked back


Congratulations on 11 years!

I've used Fakku as a tool for learning English (from getting Es and Ds to being fully fluent) and met some of my most precious friends that I'm still in contact with 5 years later. So thank you Jacob for creating this wonderful site. I've already met a lot of fakkuza on my trip to the US and I hope I'll be able to go again to visit the fakku booth and meet more people.

Will the amount of print books published be ramping up in 2018? I could totally go for monthly releases. I imagine the wani license has the content for it.
