Books:
  • Can get a physical copy if you desire

  • Downloads

  • No missing chapters

  • No recurring fees

Subscription:
  • More chapters per dollar

  • More varied content

  • Exposure to new artists

  • A lot of this content hasn't already been scanlated

I think a lot of people looked at the subscription fee and though it was too much. Now that it's been around for a few weeks, I feel like I've gotten quite a lot of value. If I remember correctly, the first month had a lot of subscription releases because that content was already undergoing localization for a while, so I expect less content going forward. But still, it's been quite a lot with some really pleasant surprises along the way. Being currently unemployed I might have to cancel for a bit, but I will definitely sub again. Anyway good shit, FAKKU.

I think the subscription is the top choice, unless you're into collecting hardcopies or reading a single plotline.

Depends on your preference but I think both are great myself. Love owning physical copies so books are something I enjoy buying and I was skeptical on the subscription personally. After seeing the great quality of both the digital and physical books, figured I should try a month of subscriptions to test it out and I don't regret it. All of the beautiful unreleased content was even better then I thought it would be and the translators and typesettors did a heck of a great job. A lot of hard work was put into both of these projects and yeah I can easily find this stuff for free online, but I really can't help appreciating the efforts of everyone working on these projects so I'm happy to put some cash down. I know not everyone can pay for the content but if helping out with my purchases can allow for Fakku to do discounts or even free promotions the idea of this business growing is fine by me. I've always wanted to purchase and enjoy hentai ever since I found out about it years ago.

For those trying to decide if they want books versus magazines I would say if you like a single artist or want to own physical copies of something then go with the books. The books can also have parts to a story that make a whole.

The magazines are great for people who want a variety in art/content/genre, like one shot stories, and enjoy online reading. Content is also uploaded pretty regularly so you'll get something nice each day or so.

Only individual people can really answer that.

If you buy a Book it's permanently unlocked for your account whether or not you have an active subscription, and you can even get a proper physical copy. Essentially each book is a one-time buy for unlimited use, and they come Uncensored. But if you don't care about owning Books-specific physical copies or the books on offer then this won't apply to you.

If you subscribe you get Fakku Gold and unlimited access to Premium hentai manga (not to mention the library is ever-growing) until your subscription ends, but subscriptions aren't permanent and you lose Fakku Gold and access to premium content when it expires. If you don't actively read hentai manga this won't apply to you.

Subscriptions seem to be the better choice but Books has manga exclusive to it.

I prefer the subscription because there's just more variety IMO. Only a handful of the books have interested me and while you do get to own it forever, it never changes. With the subscription, you're getting new stuff everyday. I also have discovered some new artists that I'd never heard of before which is cool.

So, pros and cons for both obviously. In my case, I constantly need variety and fresh stuff or I get bored so subscription is for me.
