Fan Speculation=Spoilers?

What do you guys think about fans trying to predict what's going to happen in the next episode, or pointing out a possible plot device WHILE the show is still in progress?
Do you consider this to be as harmful as a spoiler, or do you think that's it's totally fair game since it's all based on released episodes and you're supposed to be catching these things as a viewer?
Personally, I'm getting a bit wary. There are some people out there who are really sharp or perceptive and point out small things that happened in the most current episode. Reading about these correct predictions sort of makes the next episode a bit anti-climatic, since I'm already expecting the twist.
On the other hand, maybe it's the writer's fault for being too predictable?

I tend to just ignore the fandumb.
It does tend to ruin the surprise, it's a lot better to figure things out solo.

Fan speculations =/= Spoilers
Until officially revealed it will be like the "Schrodinger's cat", It's True and Not True at the same time. It's entirely your own decision to trust it or ignore it.
eg: A guy keeps mentioning the Saturn is the one controlling time in the story of Steins;Gate the anime. Would you believe it or not?
If someone is indeed "sharp" enough to deduce the progression of the story, it's either a fluke or the writer is just too predictable.
Rant:
I got banned for speculating in MAL..and to makes things worse I got it wrong.

I enjoy creating speculation and discussing it with one or two other interested parties but don't think talking about it on forums is a good idea. I have done it once or twice on Fakku but it never led to anything good.

OT: I believe fan speculation is just that... Speculation.
It isn't true or false till said event does or not happen in the anime.

Most of the time its so far off from what the plot actually becomes, which is actually a good thing. I hate spoilers.

I don't really discuss shows online. If I discuss them at all, it's with others I know who are watching the show.

Speculation is fine, because we don't know if it's actually part of the canon till it happens(or doesn't happen), so until then it's just someones opinion, and who care's about those.
