Fighting .... against someone who doesn't?

I have seen many event taken places where this sort of stuff happened, the good guys just doing their thing and wanting to live their life, when some guy comes along and wants a fight with you, for reasons not worth fighting over for.
Now I am one of those guys, but I'm not weak, in fact, I may be stronger and more violent than them ... but I chose my road in life and it helped me clear up a lot of things that has been foggy for a very long time.
What is exactly going through the person's mind when he threatens the other, is he expecting a fight? Does he want to get thrilled by it? However, there are many people who refuse such fights and in the end, most of the time, they still get a fight.
How can anyone in their right minds live such a complicated and confusing life?
How do you guys believe a peaceful person should react to these things?
We know we can be violent on the inside, and we sometimes can't control it and sometimes the challenger gets beaten to the point of near death.
However what is your point on this subject?
First thread, hope it's a good beginning.

From fighting games, you should know by now that fighting solves everything when your enemy is down and out.
OT: Well, probably these kind of people haven't experience enough thrills in their life. Thus resulting in experimenting their new lives of inflicting physical or verbal misery on anyone to fill up their lives' pleasure meter. Or perhaps some of these people had a painful past which involves the cruelty of a certain kind of person or society, therefore taking on the road of revenge by verbally and physically attacking anyone that fits any of the descriptions of the kind of people that gave them sufferings in the past, even if some of the victims never did anything wrong.
Either way, these sorts of things are pitiful excuses for these people to use violence. This is why society could never get along so well. Too many conflicts have been recorded on this Earth and there is no end to it. Some people should just learn to grow up and stop spreading the hate on other people.

I really don't understand the psychology of these so called " beings ".
If they wish for such thrills then it is better to sign up in a fighting sports team or something.

Spoiler:
You can't blame them. We're all predecessors of beings that fought against each other to continue living. The human's mindset of obtaining dominance over something is one of the problems that results to people fighting.

Yeah but violence took places because to dominate territories, survive the hardships, and to fight off any unwanted intruders.
What I am talking about, is that in situations like these, why have the need of violence, and why target people who doesn't need it?

Here's how I've always responded to bullying, threats, or general mistreatment:
1. It pisses me off, not going to lie.
2. I have a zero tolerance policy. I do not take shit. Period.
3. I clench my fists and mentally glue them to my sides. I refuse to put my hands on another person, because I know how traumatic it is to be at someone's mercy.
4. I narrow my eyes, as if I'm holding down the sight of a gun.
5. I look them square in the eyes, and growl an appropriate response for the situation.
6. They suddenly realize that they fucked with someone who is not to be fucked with.
7. They stop.
You can nonviolently take all the air out of an attacker or offending party's sails, provided you give them the illusion that, should you want to completely annihilate them, you could. You allow yourself to express your anger in everything but violence or verbal abuse. You wear your defiance. You stand your ground. You show no quarter.
This method has not only spared me bullying personally, but I've managed to scare the shit out of bullies who were attacking other people.
The reason this method works is because the entire basis of the bullying-victim relationship dynamic is that one of the individuals involved is either too scared or too uncoordinated to properly defend themselves. You have to make it clear to that person that you will simply not let that shit happen.
It also helps to have crazy eyes.
Which I do.
'Cause I've seen some stuff.

That is a great advice, I'll think about that when someone comes to me and wants to give me trouble.

So, is this about people getting beaten up/overpowered for no particular reason or is it about responding to provocation?
Anyone dumb enough to pick a fight for no reason is too stupid to pose a threat anyway!
Lolikittie! Show me your anger face!
