Figs and Toys on a cold Tokyo night!
0
I initially wanted to come on here to show a rather nice Taiga fig I got my hands on today (will do that too) but decided to go with a general thread. I have been living in Tokyo for years now and have built up a small but nice collection of different bits and pieces. I thought it would be nice to show some photos on here of my figs and toys and stuff and show them in context with little bits and pieces of my life in shitamachi Tokyo. Feel free to hit me with questions etc and I'll do my best to answer.
p.s let me know if I should put this in a different section.

So yeah....Taiga.
I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to U.F.O catchers in this country and over the years have developed quite a skill in getting things from them. It's about figuring out with types of machines have what kind of strength in the claws and how far they spread. Then it's a matter of using that knowledge to know where to drop the claw in order to flip/roll/push the object into the chute.
I don't usually care much for the objects themselves that I get from em, though in some cases I absolutely have to get some..like this Nyanko Sensei christmas edition last year.

Today I saw a special bunny suit Taiga and although I prefer Louise, she still looked pretty cute so I managed to grab it after 300yen. Sorry for the photo quality, new phone and figuring out what quality is best still.
cute isn't she :)

Next I thought I would talk about Lien. She is a ball joint doll that I adopted last October and have since grown to care for very much. If you are thinking about getting into collecting dolls then a good place to start is AZONE International. They produce good quality dolls at a very reasonable price. Personally the EX Cute series is my favorite and there are many clothes available for them. You'd expect to pay around 10000-15000yen ($100-$150) for the doll and around $30-$70 for clothes depending on detail etc. I'm generally not one for taking millions of photos of my stuff so I only have a few to put up (still wearing the original clothes). I just bought her a new spring outfit so I will upload pics of that too.

well i live in edogawaku koiwa and i understand the irritated feelings from ufo catchers game.
i usually play those at akiba's sega and taito arcade.
the last item that i got from sega's arcade was the Valkyria chronicles 2 cosette figure two weeks ago.
if you go to akiba, there's a new sega arcade near the softmap amusement branch.it's a bit bigger than the first one.
i posted some of my treasures too in this thread.feel free to see it (although i haven't update them yet).
nice collections by the way.

well i live in edogawaku koiwa Hey you're not so far from me; I live in Adach-ku 3min from Kita Senju Station. I also often go to Akiba to play the U.F.O catchers (the ones in Akiba are usually more difficult). I'll check out the place. I also like the game section above Don Quixote. I checked out your thread, very nice (love the VC2 stuff). I collected the cans for FFX13 but threw them out after playing the game lol.

This is Moe-Jyan the AKB48 Mahjong game. I wanted to buy it when it first came out but soon I couldn't find it. I came across a new copy hidden away in a Tsutaya out in the country side.

Oh and EVA headphones.

This was a present from a student. It's a stress reliever shaped like a poo (naturally a cute happy poo). You throw it against a surface (window's best) and it splats then slowly rolls down.

Here is the new outfit I bought for Lien. I decided on: a one-piece dress, a red camisole, some cream green socks and striped blue underpants...looks cute I think.

Oh and this is my desk
