Files wont replace the other files

I downloaded the Sims 3 1.27 with crack. It downloaded just fine. Using Dameon Tools. Problem is in the download it says......

Install:After installing the sims 3
go to the patch and instal the patch
after that follow instructions provided by razor
in the .rar

It wants me to extract the files and put the in the Game/bin folder. It wont let me. It says


I've been at this for days and I still can't get it working. Thanks in advance

I looks like the rar file is corrupt, you may have to re-download it.

On another note, I believe posting about cracks and software you have not paid for is against the rules...

But before you redownload it ...
you can try to repair the archive , right click at somewhere in WinRar Window
and choose "Repair Archive" ..

If after you did that, your Rar still corrupted ...
then i will state what Jenslyn said ,
Redownload it ..

I dont see a repair option. Download again? Ugh it took me so long to download it. I'll try doing it

EDIT: It wont let me repair it. And when I try to add it to WinRAR it only looks for folders not files

err .. weird ...
I used "Repair Archive" a lot .. since most rar that i DL is corrupted ...
It mostly worked .. (not all, but mostly)
do you have choose "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" ?
it should have no problem .. need some time, but waiting for awhile is okay ..

the output should be a new rar named "fixed.<original>" or everything along the lines ..

if it's still not worked .. sadly, redownload it ..

I myself would attempt to find a different download, as if that did not work, chances are the files themselves are wonky.

ok imma go in detail of what I got to do. I have to put the files TS3.exe and TSLHost.dll in the game/bin folder and have them replace the original files. I found out how to make it find files too. It wont fix it because its a read only file. When I try to change it, it wont let me. Says access denied even though it says are you sure. Ugh. Maybe its my computer. Jenslyn will tell you. My computer is weird. the type of files its trying to replace are...EX_File and Application Extension.

Even though it will take me forever. I'll gladly redownload it. I got this download from isohunt. Its the sims 3 with patch 1.27 + crack. Any other places I can try?

If your main problem right now is that the file is read only, then I suggest you copy it to a different folder.
The copy should not be restricted by whatever it is that is making the original read only. That way you can fix the copy and finally get your files unpacked.

And yes, I agree that HokutoCorpse's laptop seems to exhibit a very strange behavior some times

what a weird occasion .. why not reinstall the OS ? mostly good for solving problem ..

Ok story time. I bought a laptop the was recommended by Jenslyn. It was a Gateway umm I dont remember the specs of it. Anyways a week or so I get a laptop from my godmother thats stationed in japan. She installed some software in this laptop. Then put Vista Ultimate on it. Let me see if I can find a picture of it. It looks and has something like this
Mines has 2 232 GB HD. Same Graphics card. Idk the rest. Anyways I was happy to get it. Until weird things started to happen. The display driver is being buggy.If let it go to its screen saver it freezes then turns white. Then turns black. Then turns back to the SS. And repeats over and over. If I try watching a Video I downloaded the screen stalls and then it blinks and goes back to normal for like 1 min. When I watch a youtube video it stalls alil. Then lets see. Oh my recycle bin disappeared out of nowhere. Then all of my desktop icons out of nowhere disappeared. Thats all I can think of atm

EDIT: Thanks for the link. Tried everything he said. Still no good. I'd rather not reinstall it. Since I wasnt the one who loaded the software on the computer

Change Read-Only setting
Take Owner-ship

better re-buy your laptop ... :wink:
