Freak's quick pasta sauce

2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes drain
1 lb of mild sausage or 6 links.
2 tbsp of garlic powder, basil, oregano and parsley.
1/2 cup wine. Depends on what you taste.
pinch of salt.
two roma tomato
Cook the sausage in a pot with a lid. Add the stuff, cover on low for a hour stiring every 10 mins to keep the sugars from burning adding wine or water if it get too thick. Last ten mins add the fresh tomatoes. serve with pasta or my favorite Melted cheese and bread.

would you suggest adding the onions and garlic while cooking the sausage to get mor flavor out of them?
I like the recipe so I may give it a go this week!
