Go on the tour?

You're selected as a candidate to travel on a ten year "galactic tour" using a new propulsion technology, capable of approaching the speed of light in safety. Your spacecraft is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to sustain you and your crewmates.

Consequences:
Due to time dilation approx. 700 years will have passed on Earth when you return.
Everyone you've ever known will be long dead unless humanity discovers immortality.
Once you decide to go through with it, there's no turning back. You won't be able to change your mind on the way.
No matter what happens, you will have to re-learn how the world works after returning.

Possible:
Earth might go up in flames in WW3 while you're gone.
When you return, there may not be any living people speaking English.
It's possible that when you return humanity will have gotten past its petty struggles. Life might be different but overall better.

Regardless you'll probably be able to see some cool shit in the galaxy.

Well I assumed isolation from any contact whatsoever would present a problem for just about everyone, but it sounds like you don't agree.

How did you figure that from me asking a dumbass question and then editing it after I realised the answer was already in the post because I didn't read the thread properly?
