Gender-bender movies

Well, you know, one day i was just sitting in the kitchen, and just randomly switching TV channels and... Well i saw a soviet movie called, ehhh, "My tenderly loved Detective"(MOY NEZHNO LYUBIMYY DETEKTIV) about Shirley Holmes and Ms. Watson. (It was released in 1986)
After watching i was, like, WTF was that?? See it for yourself, that scene with dancing English policemen was hilarious.
So, now i'm interested, is there any more gender-bender movies about famous characters? I'm sure that it should be at least funny to watch.

By "gender-bender movies", do you mean movies where a character swaps gender roles, like a character trying to fool everyone by dressing in drag or disguise? There's lots of them: Tootsie (1982), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Yentl (1983), Just One of the Guys (1985), Sorority Boys (2002), Boys Don't Cry (1999)... the list goes on and on.
If, on the other-hand, you're looking for movies where the character actually transforms or swaps bodies with someone of the opposite gender, I might suggest The Hot Chick (2002), It's a Boy Girl Thing (2006), and Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde (1995). Even the first Scooby Doo movie (2002) has a scene where Fred and Daphne swap bodies for one scene.
However, if your actually looking for movies where a firmly-established, pre-existing character is updated with a different gender, that's actually quite a bit rarer. Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde sort of counts, as it's based on the old horror classic but turns it into gender-bending comedy. Salt (2010) almost counts, as the role was originally written for a male lead but was instead rewritten for Angelina Jolie. Still, it's become less rare these days for characters in movie and TV adaptations of older works to be "flipped" to a different gender, as the gender barriers are beginning to erode in Hollywood. Just look at the update of "Battlestar Galactica", which made Starbuck a kick-ass chick.
*EDIT* Just found this on TV Tropes, hope it's helpful: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GenderFlip
