Good Trailers. Bad Movies.

Ever notice how crappy movies know that they're crappy, so they spend a lot of money on making the trailer look amazing instead of actually improving the movie? That way people who see the trailer think "oh, that looks cool!" Then they go and see it and come out saying "That fucking sucked!" They pretty much do it so people will do that and they can make money, although thanks to movie reviews and word-of-mouth, they're little trick doesn't last long. But there are people who don't read reviews or are lucky enough to hear that the movie is bad.
Anyway, can you guys think of trailers like that?
*Cough* Skyline! *Cough*
I also want to hear what you guys think about this.

Oh, you mentioned Skyline already. That movie is guilty as charged. I was cringing through the whole thing. And the ending sucked donkey balls. There are lots of bad movies with good trailers, but I can't recall any of them at the moment.

robo geisha had a fairly good trailer, but the movie was totally different from the actual trailer. it was alot more random than I thought it would be.

Since you guys already mentioned Skyline already. How about Clash of the Titans then ?
I believe that movie is appropriate enough to be included in this topic.
1. Watching its trailer
2. Fired up
3. Watching the movie with a good mood
4. ....
What a waste of time and money.

Avatar the last Airbender.
My friends and I knew it was going to suck based on the reviews, but oh man it was fucking terrible.

This - luckily I watched it while in an aeroplane, so I could just change movies.
I would have to say Splice, an Inconvenient truth (the trailer makes it seem more like an action film than a documentary) and definitely skyline

I didn't think that Splice was bad, but it definitely had one of the most fucked up endings I have ever seen in a movie.
