GPL Drawing software? Post your favorite :)

Hey guys and girls.
I'm looking for some nice GPL (or any other non-commercial) drawing software.
I just can't afford any fancy mid-level sketching software at the moment.
So.. POST YOUR FAVORITE (please.. ^_^)

What are you using it for?
EDIT: Try Dia.

Try GIMP. It's can do everything Photoshop can, the greatest complaint against it is that its UI is not just like Photoshop. If this is your 1st raster graphic program you'll actually have an easier time and the program will serve you well.

Oh my! I seem to be misunderstood.
I'm looking for a software for freehand drawing (via Wacom brand tablet).
Dia seems to belong to a whole different aspect.
But thanks anyway!

BTW, I'm currently using Mypaint and although its interface could use some improvements, it's rather fun to use in freehand action.

As much as I love and prefer free and open-source software, I'd recommend just, uh, downloading Photoshop, if you get what I mean. Nothing can beat Photoshop. Run it in Wine if you're on Linux.
I own a Wacom tablet myself, but I haven't tried out any specialized drawing software yet (e.g. Manga Studio, SketchBook.) The GIMP tries hard, but I find it to be too complicated, and it's missing some of the features I use most in Photoshop, mainly Blending Options. I'm not aware of any other decent raster graphics editors that are GPL.

I downloaded the trial for Photoshop, and it works well. Except that I cannot get my stylus to properly work.
I also own a Wacom(Intuos 4) and have found that Sketchbook works really well. It is, however, a simple program.
Corel also work, but I Co not use it as much. It is a bit slow and tedious.
I have resorted to Gimp as my main free program. It is simple, you can customize it, and ignore any unused features.
