Gray Screen laptop.

So Ive been having this one problem with my laptop ever sense i got it.
Specs:
Anyway problem is whenever I tab out of a program or the screen goes black when it is switching out programs and such a lot of the time the screen will go gray. Sometimes I can fix it by tabbing again (though it sometimes also gray screens then), or failing that closing the laptop and opening it back up, basically cycling the screen on and off. The laptop it self is running fine, the programs are still running, sound is still on, so on and so forth, it is just the screen that keep screwing up.
Lately this is becoming a massive problem as it seems to be doing it much more frequently. Any thoughts?

Could be some kind of driver issue.
Try booting to safe mode and see if it does it then. This would at least rule out the monitor hardware.

Could be a glitch in the screen cables or corrupted driver... if you have a monitor then plug it in to the vga/dvi/hmdl slot on your lappie and see if it's doing the same.. if not then it's a loose or soon to be dead wire/screen.

Anyway I do on occasion hook it up to my TV and it doesnt do it then so I guess it much be a loose wire or something.
