Help me

My computer is acting weird, sometimes when i am watching or working on something my background comes up for a brief second then vanishes, some of my icons on my task bar are not there and sometimes my applications said they are not responding for a second or two.
I have recently run tuneup utilities 2010 that i downloaded to increase my performence, do you think that is part of the problem ? , If so tell me what i need to do and/or what programs i need to solve my problem.

Might want to try a system restore point before you ran that.

could a lot of things. run your antivirus, and run a malware/spyware app the best is malware bytes which you can google or it's in the free sofeware thread here

system restore to a point two days before your computer started messing up

system restore is your best bet....if that doesn't work then you might want to call geek squad.

I am planning to use the method that restores the computer to the factory settings. what do i need to know about this ?

it restores it to what it started from, so what it has when you first started with when you bought it. it just restore factory settings, so save your pics,movies and things you need, if you didn't backup your drive.

So i don´t need to install windows ?

no you don't ,,,, if you use system restore to 2 days before you installed whatever you installed everything you saved/downloaded will be gone.your pc will be exactly the way it was up to the date you want to restore from

your computer won't let you revert to factory default without the start up disk. so if you bought it with every thing loaded on it then you need the disk the computer came with but the newer computers when you first start up tell you the make a factory disk. if you upgraded the os from let say vista to 7 then your will have to upgrade again.
