I learned to love her after learning she sang "simple and clean" from the ever popular kingdom hearts.
This only added gas to the fire.

Loved that song as well, I also loved the show that it was used in. "Boys over Flowers" or something like that.....I like Hikaru Utada's songs that were used in the Kingdom Hearts series too.

Utada Hikaru is my favourite singer.
Some of her songs that I like:
Sakura Drops
Risk
Devil Inside (Utada United Version)
Passion (And the English spin-off, Sanctuary *Featured on KHII*)
Hikari (And the English spin-off, Simple and Clean *Featured on KH I*)
Though her more recent English stuff isn't as good IMO, so stick with her older Japanese songs. Though this is just a personal preference.

well, I gotta say that Hikaru Utada's songs are quite nice, but I kinda got bored of her songs. Some how they don't really change much.

That's why I like her- she sticks to one genre, and strives to perfect it. Which is why once I heard her newer english stuff (things that went into genres she wasn't exactly known for), I vowed never to listen to that CD again.
Though I believe her cover of Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams is quite good. I only knew her version for like years, then finally listened to theirs... and stopped halfway through. I felt it was that much worse than Utada's... since she seemed to bring heart and energy to it that Green Day didn't seem to bring.
