[Locked] How do I transfer music from my iPod to iTunes?
0
I started using a new computer, and I want to put my music from my iPod Touch onto my iTunes library. The problem is, there's no option for this, other than transferring iTunes purchases, of which I haven't made any.
On top of this, I can't access the music files on it, because my computer reads the iPod Touch as a "Digital Camera", and only lets me view photos.
There ARE programs for it, however all of them are either trials that only let you transfer 100 songs total, or inaccessible until you activate them.

Two ways:
if the songs are still on your ipod you can put them back onto your itunes on your new computer download itunes then follow the steps
Step 1:plug in your ipod and open up my computer
Step 2:click on the ipod button under the heading devices with removable storage
Step 3 goto the tool heading at the top and click folder options and click the view tab
Step 4:go down until you see the box the says hidden files and folders and click show hidden files and folders
a new folder should pop up that says ipod control
Step 5:open it and click music. Highlight the folders and copy then to your music folder(the are in code ex/ F105) but you itunes can read them.
now gointo your itune and click add folder to libaray and add the folders into it
or
1. Connect the iPod to your PC. If iTunes starts syncing (ie erasing) your music automatically, hit the X in the upper right hand corner of iTunes display, to the left of the search box, to stop it.
2. In Control Panel, Portable Media Devices, double-click your iPod.
3. In the Tools menu -> Options, in the View Tab, check "Show hidden files and folders."
4. Navigate to the Music folder. On my 2nd gen 'pod, the full path is
Portable Media Devices\ERIKA'S IPOD (F:)\iPod_Control\Music
5. Select all the music folders, and drag and drop them into a folder on your hard drive, or directly into iTunes.

The "display hidden files/folder" button doesn't do anything for me. I can only view photos.

Ok this is how it goes:
1. Download a copy of iTunes, install and run it.
2. Link your iPod to your computer.
3. Go onto iTunes and then File>Sync iPod
4. Done.
Then again you got a new computer right? So I guess its safe to assume that you already sync your ipod with your old computer. However itunes is picky because if you tried to sync that same ipod to itunes on a NEW computer then it will come with an error message saying that you have to delete all the songs etcs on that ipod before you can sync the ipod to your new computer. I had this same problem when I switched from vista to 7, luckily I had a backup of all the songs so I just copied all the songs to itunes and synced away.

If you have a jailbroken ipod you could always use ifile to navigate to /var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/Music (atleast on my ipad) and you'll find the folders of your synced music there listed in code, though the id3 tags remain intact. From there just ssh the files over to your computer.

Bump, I still have no idea how to do this, without downloading a ton of trial programs, or spending money. Anyone got a keygen for CopyTrans 4.76?

Go ahead. And lock this while you're at it?
I figured out what to do.
I was trying to get my music from my iPod to iTunes, so I could resync to this computer and not lose all my music. But I figured out how to get music on my iPod without having to sync it, so problem solved.
