Hey guys how's it going? So yesterday, I resigned from my job as a 'Sales Rep' for a charity called 'Plan International'.
The job really sucks because not only you get paid a meagre amount, it's also performance-based. If you don't get even just one sponsor, you won't get any pay. I stood like from 7am to 5pm every day in a booth in different shopping malls, talking to random people and trying to get them to sign up and have them pay $1.50 a day from their credit cards.
Guess how many people I got to sign up for a whole week? Two people. Guess how much money I made? $100. Guess how much money I had to spend for petrol and food because of the long-travel and because 'Plan International' doesn't give you even just water or some bread? 50$. Guess how many ass-holes I had to talk to and tried to be smart-asses? Like most of them.
Anyway going on, just this morning a guy working for another charity called 'Heart Foundation' knocked on my door and talked to me. He actually employed sales pitch and techniques that were similar to how I used to do it. But it was funny because I did the same thing to him what other people did to me. I know exactly what i want when i go to a store, so i hate when people try to sell me anything. i hate it so much that i could never work in sales. i'm such an asshole to the sales people. i'll act like i'm intested and waste a bunch of their time just because it amuses me.
the aproach depends on how i react. if they are straight up about it, i will usualy just say no thanks, but if they push it or try to be slick, it's on. if they try to be my pal, i'll jerk them around for about ten or twenty minutes before i blow them off.
the one i hate the most is is the pretty girl flirt aproach. they get the worst of it from me because i find it extremely insulting.
one time i was hanging out with a friend of mine who did mobile dent repair while he was doing a job at a major car dealership. i was wandering around just looking at the different cars on the lot while i waited. one of the sales people was a pretty hot chick. i saw her push her tits up on her way over in a reflection on the car i was looking at. when she got to me she kept touching me and leaning in to show more cleavage. i told her i could swing about $30-40k, and her eyes lit up. the job took my friend about two hours, so i spent the whole time jerking her around. she was getting more touchy feely as time went by. at first it was just her hand on my arm, but near the end, she kept brushing her tits and ass against me because she thought she was close to making a sale. the look on her face when i told her i was actualy broke was delicious.

i think i would be good at sales because manipulation is a hobby of mine. when ever i watch commercials on TV, i'm thinking more about the sales methods being used than what they're trying to sell. i think sex is the most commonly used angle, followed by fear and convenience. the apple marketing style is fascinating to me. how they manage to sell mediocre products at such high prices and to so many people is beautiful.
you should go for a labor type job. warehouse, construction, landscapeing, etc. it's hard work, but it's honest. it's usually pretty steady, pays decent, and it might make you apriciate what you earn a little more than commisions.

Well mate, I live in Australia and here you need to have a trade license and certificate to do all those jobs (e.g. construction, landscapeing, labouring, etc.). You can get sued and get fines if you do all those things without having one.

That sucks. is it some illegal immagrant trip that makes it so, like trying to keep those jobs for citizens? in the US, you only need a contractors license if you own the construction business, not if you only work there.
what about temp work? do you need some kind of special permit to do short term jobs in different fields? i like doing temp work because you can sometimes get hired on permanent, or just leave when the jobs done if it sucks.

That's what I'm looking for right now, casual works and such. I actually got a reply just a sec. ago from a company that wants help with database management. I'm good with computers and the pay is good (15$ per hour) so I think I'll go for it.

Mate you're a fuckhead, if you want some easy money go and get a job at your local K-mart or macca's $15 per hour is shit you'll get like 18-20 depending on where you go and there's always factory work.
